Black On Black

What a great weekend it's been! Always fun to be able to dress up and get out with friends. I got out of my comfort zone with this outfit. I love wearing black, but I don't normally do black on black. Added a pop of color with the clutch. So fun to change it up every once in awhile, I highly recommend it! What type of outfit would take you out of your comfort zone?

The blouse and pants are both from Stitchfix, different fixes though. The top is 41Hawthorn and the pants are Henry & Belle. (Check out my last blog post for more info on the pants). I heart them...a lot! If you want a good pair of black skinny jeans, these are the ones for you!!

The one short coming to this cross-front blouse is that it has an open pleat. If you aren't careful, you might be flashing people without even knowing it. Look close and you'll see what I'm talking about. I am going to have my seamstress throw some stitches in it so it's not so "flashy".

My hubby making me laugh, as always. Oh, and he mentioned that he doesn't mind the open pleat. ;)

Stitch Fix Review No.16

Hello! Happy Saturday, so excited to finally get my Stitch Fix Review up on the blog. So much more time consuming than I'm used to! Alrighty, let's get this party started.

First item is this darling Ellison leopard print cardigan. I thought at first I wouldn't like it because it is so long and I have "short people" syndrome, but I actually made it work. I'm excited to incorporate this into my wardrobe. It's very comfy too.
The Stitch Fix name for this cardigan is Davis Leopard Print Button-Up Cardigan. The price $68.00. A little pricey, but not terrible.

Next item, this Pixley sweater. I didn't LOVE it, but I didn't HATE it either. Had to just go with it due to the Buy 5 Discount. Let me know what you think! How would you style it differently? Runs a little small, or maybe I gained too much weight over the holidays. Either way, I like sweater's with a little room for layering. This was snug with the denim shirt underneath.
The Stitch Fix name for this sweater is Pheobe Chevron Print Sweater. The price $74.00, way more than I normally pay for one sweater, but again, kept it for the discount amount.

The next two items are from this fix, the blouse and the pants. This Renee C blouse is cute. I like that I can dress it up or down easily. I liked the cute cut out in the back as well. It fits, although it is a little tight in the rib area. Again, not sure if that is from too many cookies in December or what...just FYI if you are a small and want to order it. I LOVE these skinny jeans! They are very tight but do have some stretch to them.
The Stitch Fix name for the blouse is Tucker Mini Arrow Print Blouse. The price $54.00.
The Stitch Fix name for the pants are Henry & Belle. Price $158.00, OUCH, I know! I never spend this much on jeans, I must be in love. I do love that they are different from any other jeans in my closet.

Paired this cute outfit with a Forever 21 coat. It was freezing when we took these pics!

Last but not least, this amazing Street Level bag. It will be perfect for my work trips, plenty of room for a laptop and much, much more. The color is beautiful as well, the pic doesn't do it justice.
The Stitch Fix name is Nia Tote Bag. Price $48.00, not bad at all. I think you will love it as much as I do...if you are a bag lady. ;)
I was happy with this latest fix, as I hadn't had a good one in awhile. It is what it is, I guess I need to realize they aren't all going to be amazing. Let me know what you liked, what you hated, or how you'd style things differently. Always looking for new ideas on outfits! Thanks for making it to the end, enjoy the rest of your weekend!!
